The name Satpura originates from the Satpura mountain ranges, and the park is known for its rocky terrains, deep valleys, sandstone peaks, and dense sal forests. Unlike many reserves, Satpura offers a unique, offbeat safari experience with jeep safaris, walking safaris, and even boat safaris, making it one of the most diverse wildlife experiences in India.
